BREAST REDUCTION
Breast
reduction surgery removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue
and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with a woman's
body to alleviate the discomfort associated with large breasts.
The remaining breast tissue is reconstructed around the new
nipple-areola site that is determined by measurements unique to
each patient. If your physical activity is limited or you are
experiencing pain due to large breasts, a breast reduction may
be right for you. The surgery can be performed unilaterally (on
one breast) or bilaterally (on both breasts). This procedure can
be done at any age; however, it is best performed when the
breasts are fully developed.
